Andreas Brehme

Andreas Brehme was born in Hamburg, West Germany on Nov. 9, 1960. At the 1990 FIFA World Cup, he caught attentions from all football lovers, football fans and spectators by a winning goal for Germany. For superb techniques in free kick, he was also an extraordinary football player with strong control ability of left and right foot. Then he was widely regarded as one of the best footballers of his generation by sophisticated skills on penalties. In addition to his accurate shooting with right foot, his left-foot shooting is more powerful than right.

At the very beginning, he started his professional football playing career from 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 1981. After played for the club, he transferred to Bayern Munich, Inter Milan successively, winning an important competition in 1987. He also played for Real Zaragoza prior to back to Germany in La Liga. On behalf of the West German national football team, he appeared at the FIFA World Cup in 1986. In 1998, he decided to get out of his football playing career as a football player.
