The work of the Acadiana Area Chapter would not be possible without sustainable contributed funding. We are an organization that relies on the contributions of time and money from individuals, companies and foundations to maintain its on-going community preparedness and disaster response services. Be a Sponsoring “Ready When the Time Comes” Partner
The RWTC program supports the local Red Cross mission of growing chapter and regional disaster readiness and response capacity.
Red Cross chapters need to have stable leadership and financial capacity to be able offer services in the community, and ensure the chapter is ready to respond at all times. Our corporate sponsors provide critical financial support to ensure the chapter has the continued ability to provide community training. Sponsor Educational Materials
Partner with the Acadiana Area Chapter by sponsoring a specific program or publication. Red Cross programs teach vital skills such as CPR, first aid, and disaster preparedness. Our publications help keep our donors, volunteers and general community informed of Red Cross activities, financial stewardship and volunteer opportunities.
Match Your Employees' Gifts
Promote and match employee giving to the American Red Cross—Acadiana Area Chapter. A corporate match is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate corporate citizenship and support an organization that is important to your employees.
Donate Products
Our chapter is always in need of donated items. While we are unable to accept small, individual donations or collections, corporate donations of bulk items are always needed to prepare and respond to local and national disasters. Bulk donations are generally new and palletized items. To donate items, please contact our Development Office.
Other Ways to Give
Volunteer
Encourage your employees to take an active role in helping our community by volunteering for the Red Cross in areas such as disaster response, community education, and health and safety training. As an organization, you can participate in our Ready When the Time Comes program and allow employee teams to act as reserve disaster responders trained in specific areas such as shelter management and call center operations.
Train Your Employees
Protect your employees by providing training in first aid, CPR, AED and preparedness. Red Cross training ensures that your employees are in safer and healthier environments whether they are at work, home or out in the community. In addition to health and safety training, one-hour disaster education classes are available.
